How to Request Closeout Documents from Trade Partners

This article will show you how to request Requirements, sending your subs an automatic email with links to upload their documents.

While you're creating and importing requirements, Buildr will automatically create draft requirements ready for you to send out to your trade partners.

Once you are ready, you can send out all your draft requirements by starting in the Requirements tab, clicking on the Draft tab, then Request Requirements:

Next, view the list of trade partners that have requirements assigned to them in Draft Mode. You can click each one to exclude specific Requirements if you choose to:

Then, click Next, type the message you'd like to include in the Requirement you send out, add any attachments such as Warranty Templates below, then click Send. Your trade partners will all receive an email, all at the same time, with consistent communication and documentation:

This will lead to a more effective closeout process, as well as saving you time clicking and copy and pasting between document requests.

Sending Requirements Individually

You can also still send Requirements individually. Click on one of the trade partners in the Requirements tab:

Then, click Request Requirements to request all assigned Requirements from this individual trade partner:

Or, you can click on a specific requirement to request it individually:

Then click Request Requirement:
